3 Outfits for Exploring the City | St. Petersburg

Posted on

I can’t even tell you how excited I was to wear summer clothes in the middle of winter. Leaving winter weather behind meant I got to briefly trade in my sweaters and jeans for crop tops and short shorts. I shared with you my 3 beach looks from Day 1 of my trip, and now I’m going to show you my city explorer looks. I even went full-on Carrie at one point and walked around downtown St. Pete in a ridiculously fluffy white skirt.

RENT THE RUNWAY

When going on a weekend getaway of any kind, my favorite place to get cute outfits for my trips is Rent the Runway. They have a boatload of cute designer clothes you can rent for special events, holidays, or in my case–for jetsetting! If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ve seen several outfits I’ve put together using pieces I’ve ordered from Rent the Runway.

You can either rent one piece for that one special occasion, or you can do what I do and sign up for the unlimited option.  With the unlimited subscription, I receive 3 pieces that I keep as long as I want and exchange whenever I’m ready for my next items. Oh…and uh…free shipping, dry cleaning, insurance…all that good stuff is included, so it was a no brainer for me.  Get unlimited rentals with Rent the Runway’s Unlimited subscription to rock some cute outfits for your getaways like I do.

EXPLORE THE CITY IN…

LOOK #1: LITTLE BLUE DRESS

This Tibi dress paired with that Asos hat felt just right for an afternoon on the pier.

LOOK #2: LET’S SEE SOME SHOULDER

I love off-the-shoulder anything. It was hot back in the 1950s and you even see this trend as far back as the 1800s. Nowadays, it seems like most fashion trends are simply borrowed from past decades. Take the choker I’m wearing: I haven’t bought one of these since the 90s! You can find chokers just about anywhere – I picked one up from Forever 21. As for the white off shoulder bodysuit, I ordered that from Missguided.

LOOK #3: SEX AND THE CITY

As soon as I saw this Bailey44 skirt on Rent the Runway, I immediately thought of Carrie Bradshaw. I paired it with a fun, floral crop top from Guess and got stopped quite a bit in this ensemble. I guess it really stood out!
